Joe andriano

Joseph Andriano is an attorney practicing in Orwell who focuses on estate planning and the formation of employee-owned cooperative businesses.

He is Chair of Orwell’s Planning Commission and Development Review Board, a member of the Addison County Regional Planning Commission, a member of the Addison County Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors, Vice Chair of the Orwell Democratic Committee, and volunteers in other capacities as well. He served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Armenia, was a senate-confirmed gubernatorial appointee in New York as a member of the Ogdensburg Bridge and Port Authority Board of Directors, is the former chair of the Town Auditors Committee and Democratic Committee of Bethel, Vermont, and is a co-founder of Royalton Community Radio in South Royalton, Vermont.

Joe has a long career in education. He is a graduate of the Upper Valley Educators Institute and has taught at Whitcomb Junior/Senior High School, Randolph Union High School, Harwood Union High School, and Northfield Middle & High School. He also was an Assistant Professor of Law at Clarkson University, an Assistant Dean at Loyola Marymount University, and a Professor of the Practice at Middlebury College. His work in higher education has focused on law and business ethics.

Joe holds a B.A. in Philosophy from Oberlin College and a J.D. from Vermont Law School. He lives in Orwell with his wife, Sarah, and co-hosts the popular Orwell Bugler podcast with the owner of Buxton’s Store, Andy Buxton.
